WhatsApp launches native app for Mac OS and Windows.

WhatsApp has now officially announced a new desktop app. "Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device," the company said in a blog post. Available for Windows (version 8 and up) and Mac OS (version 10.9 and up), the app stays synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device, allowing you to communicate with other WhatsApp users in your list while your handset remains in your pocket.
