Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5 Smartphone Press Renders and a Video Leaked

 The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi has been surrounded by the rumors for a while now about the launch of its upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 that is expected to be unveiled on January 21 in China. Earlier leaks suggested the device to sports Force Touch display and Ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology, but nothing is confirmed yet. Today, a bunch of press images of the upcoming smartphone along with a video surfaced online revealing the complete design of the device.
As per the leaked press images, the Mi 5 will sport a stylish design with 2.5D curved display and 3D glass back panel. The smartphone will feature a small oval-shaped home button with an integrated fingerprint scanner, which is touted as the smallest and fastest fingerprint sensor in the market. 


The device will come in different color options like – White, Black, Pink and Gold. According to other rumored specifications, the Mi 5 will feature a 5.2-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad-HD display and will come powered by all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The device may come with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of built-in storage options. It supports dual sim dual standby and is expected to run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MiUi 7 out of the box.
The smartphone is expected to come backed by a 3600mAh battery and is also supposed to feature a USB Type-C port. The Xiaomi Mi 4C is the first smartphone from the company to come with a USB Type-C port. If the rumors are to be believed the Xiaomi Mi 5 will cost around 2000 Yuan (approx $308/Rs.20,450) for 3GB RAM variant and 2,299 Yuan (approx $354/Rs.23525) for 4GB RAM variant.
